Pattyn has been raised in a very religious and abusive home where she is not sure what her purpose in life is. She meets a boy and gets in trouble with her parents, who decide to send her to her aunt's house to live. Her summer spent at her aunt's house and the return home is full of eye opening moments and life changing events.
